So we had a last minute impromptu party for Miss Lavender last night. The evening was complete with friends and fam, birthday cake, presents and ten bazillion balloons. The kiddos loved all the balloon madness and had a blast running all over chasing, kicking and throwing them. Here are a few snippets of the evening.
We had fun with you guys last night. We missed during the sick phase. Sorry I missed your call this morning, we were at the playground and the girls just crashed.
Hi Jen, I found your blog and realized who you are. :) This is Christina Hooker (use to be Jones). I loved looking at the pictures of your girls. Your family is just beautiful.
I'm not sure what 'coming out right' means. It often means that what you do holds a kind of energy that you wouldn't just put there, that comes about through grace of some sort.
This cute thing is my sweet Autumn. She reminds me everyday of the sweetness of my blessed life and what a treat it is to have little baby in my midst. I just love watching her discover new things... whether that be a new food or the excitement of a new a toy to put in that little mouth! I love the way she smells and all the little sounds she makes. How lovely it is to have a 7 month old baby girl!
MY big GIRL
RECENT NEWS... I am a rumbly tumbly do my own thang kinda girl. I am growing at warp speed and Mom is having trouble trying to keep me in clothes that are long enough. I love to sing my ABCs and 123s and will tell ya all about my day if you give me a couple o minutes to get used to ya. I think my favorite thing these days is adventure... going to see the fishes, dancing around with Matthew or even just taking long walks with Mom and Dad are quite incredible. And I am a treasured little person!
Current Inspirations
This packaging is so incredibly pretty! I am falling more and more in love with the idea of patterns in my work.... florals like these make my little heart twitter!
THE READING CORNER
Check out the new chatt town book club read... looking forward to soaking in these pages!
The Listening Corner
Lovely lovely Yael Naim!!! I can't seem to get enough of her soft sultry voice. You may know her from her cong 'New Soul' that is in the Mac Notebook ad - you know, the one with the supa dupa tiny thin laptop that fits in the envelope... yep, that catchy little ditty is hers. Great stuff!
A NEW favorite thing
So there is this girl... Henrietta Rose and she makes shoes out of very fine, vintage Japanese fabrics! These little cuties are called Yuki and have this adorable little pinka boo cutout right over the toe. I just love the idea of re-using and re-working iwth such brillant patterns! Such incredibly charming art for your footsies!
