yep... sickness hits again.
now that we have weathered the croup and countless coughs and colds, I have somehow picked up the flu. it's been a long time since I had the flu and it is just no fun at all... I feel like the little sick kid in this painting. Being sick makes you just want your mom no matter how old you are, right?
anyways... i just wanted to share this work of art b.c. it makes me get out of my head and remember that people have been getting sick and making thru to good health for a very long time. And no matter how dreadful and isolating it makes you feel, it WILL end!!
And one more thing... I just wanted to say that I have the most incredible mom ever... she has braved entering my cootie filled house and helped me with the kiddos for the past 2 days. Thanks, Mom... so much thankfulness fils my heart for you... i love you so!
the low down on the painting, for you art buffs out there...

Oh no! Feel better soon! We've had a stomach bug traveling through our house off and on for almost 2 weeks now - first Shaun, then me, then Matthew. I can't wait to get well and get out of the house!!!!
By the way, we sent Lavender a little birthday greeting through your e-mail if you or your mom have the strength to check it. Rest up :)

Oh Jen, so sorry!
But thank God for your mama being there to take care of you and the girls. Prayers and love to ya and to the little birthday girl.
"people have been getting sick and making thru to good health for a very long time"
actually i think that child died shortly after that was painted.
Someone once said that your children are your children, no matter how old they are. Just like you hate to see Lavender and Autumn not well, my heart feels the same about you. You are a wonderful mother and I remember the days of having two kiddos so close together, being sick, and not having much help. It's a blessing that we live close - we love every minute we spend with you, Josh, and the girls. And I just have to say that comment about the painting from Cannon first made me laugh and then kind of shudder...kind of the shuddering Lavender does when something is cold. I do hope tomorrow is better, and if it's not, call me. Love, Mom
sorry, it was meant to be a joke. didnt mean anything by it.
