This is my favorite picture of my Uncle Steve. It was taken at my wedding. I didn't know then that that would be the last time I would see him... in this world anyway.
Steve past away today at 5:35. He was a remarkable man of God who showed me so much of what a Husband and Father should be. There are so many things to love about Steve... he was one of those people that was just so easy to love.
I once heard some one say that when remarkable people or events happen in your life you can say many things or not much at all... in this case words just seem to fall short.
I am thankful for mercy.
And even more, I am thankful to know that such an extraordinary man is now home in an extraordinary place.

This is such a wonderful picture of Steve's heart. I am so thankful that this moment was captured for us - that the kindness that radiated out from Steve is there in his face, in his hands and his arms. How we will miss him. How I wish he could've seen the girls. He and Susie were planning to come over to see the new house and were so looking forward to visiting with us. I so look forward to heaven, where time and boundaries can never separate us. Love you, Mom
